Radio Frequency (RF therapy) skin tightening is an aesthetic technique that uses radio frequency energy to heat skin with the purpose of stimulating cutaneous collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin
RF therapy is a nonsurgical method of tightening your skin.
As you age, your cells produce less collagen, which leads to sagging skin and wrinkles, laxity occurs around age 35 to 40 when the quantity and quality of your collagen begins to decline.
RF therapy has been used since 2001 to fight against sagging skin and signs of aging.
What to expect during the treatment - Once the area is prepped with gel, you can expect to feel mild heat to the skin, similar to a hot stone massage. In total, the treatment tends to last between 20 and 40 minutes.

A - The RF waves give off heat that prompts your skin to produce more collagen and elastin. The treatment also speeds up cell turnover, so the skin gets firmer and thicker over time. The process can take approximately 30 to 90 minutes, depending on how much skin you are having treated.
A - RF therapy skin tightening stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, resulting in tighter skin. That's because collagen and elastin help to improve skin texture and elasticity and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, superficial acne, scarring, and fine lines and wrinkles
A - After your treatment, you should avoid putting foreign products onto your skin. This includes AHA, retinol, vitamin C, and makeup for one week. Furthermore, you should avoid any chemical peels, facial waxing, facials, or other facial treatments for two weeks.
A - We recommend clients receive a series of 3-5 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart. For clients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks, and acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
A - Avoid hot environments such as saunas, steam rooms and hot showers for a minimum of 72 hours after the treatment. If you have a bath or a shower, use warm water. Do not undergo any heat treatment for at least a few days, as this may make the area feel sore.
A - In most cases, clients can expect RF therapy skin tightening treatments to last over 12 months with proper maintenance and skincare. With ongoing treatments, results can often last much longer and it will depend on the frequency of treatments.
A - The treatment method is 100% non-invasive; this means no scalpels, needles, anaesthetic or sedation. With no restrictions or limitations imposed, clients are free to resume their lives immediately after the treatment.
A - An ideal candidate is anyone who feels they can benefit from tighter, healthier looking skin. All skin types are suitable.
A - RF therapy is used on any part of the body where skin is loose, sagging or showing signs of wrinkles, including the face.
